Swifty Sam Fox was on his way to the embassy in Belgium in an all expenses paid ambassadorial appointment by Not-so Swift George Bush as pay back for his bankrolling of the vicious "Swift boat" attack ads that helped to sink the Kerry campaign. In a leaked communique President Bush was outed as blatantly rewarding "Foxy" for his financing of the Rove-engineered distortions of John Kerry's widely respected military career.
Bush defended his choice for Belgium envoy: "Look most of my appointments have been political or personal favors. . . why jump all over foxy? It's not like Belgium is some politically sensitive place! What are we guarding the price of chocolate, waffles or endive?! If a place has no oil why should anybody care who the ambassador is?!"
