Washington DC - (ReuterUs): Former Republican Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich has admitted that he was drunk when screwing Monica Lewinsky during his Congress campaign that impeached Bill Clinton.
But he remains unrepentant over his role in busting Clinton about the perjury issue that pilloried him on coast to coast TV:
"It was a wild, wild time," he said. "The US President got into trouble for committing a felony in front of a sitting feral judge.
"I may have been fornicating her on the side, but that was irrelevant.
"As a leader of the government trying to uphold the fool of law, it was my job to screw him for screwing her, while also screwing her to see just what it felt like to screw the President's whore."
Gingrich told Anne Coulter that he should not be viewed as a hypocrite for pursuing Clinton because "there was always the chance Lewinsky was a fag-hag covering for the President. And someone from the moral majority had to do their solemn patriotic duty to probe the matter."
Gingrich, 69, has announced his intention to run for the White House in 2008.
