Democrats are eating their own. Forcing Senator Al Franken out of elected office due to improprieties performed before becoming a Senator or during a USO tour, appears to be a knee-jerk reaction to Harvey Weinstein's repetitive predatory behavior. Cleaning house is great, but this is a perfect example of throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Franken is the baby.
Democrats: You are reducing your numbers, and you appear to look like a bunch of do-gooders having forgotten that politics is the art of compromise.
Al Franken isn't a predator. Yes, another dumb selfie is a nuisance. It's also a "Shame on you," finger-wagging type reprimand. Dumb selfies and unsolicited kisses are not felonies. They don't warrant the punishment of: "Go directly to jail. Do not collect $200." And Franken's photo wasn't an Anthony Weiner type selfie.

Washington has bigger fish to fry like the orange sockeye salmon sitting in the White House. A self-confessed predator, that fish: bragged he assaulted women; walked into naked teenaged girls dressing rooms; went after a married woman like a 'bitch'; and is presently supporting the accused pedophile running for the U.S. Senate from Alabama.
Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
Recently, President Obama described the United States as becoming Hitler-ish. He addressed the threat to democracy, world peace, women's rights, the environment, human rights - think of Puerto Rico - the judiciary and the intelligence community.
A greater travesty, (than unsolicited kisses and dumb selfies) was Mitch McConnell stopping President Obama from filling a vacancy to the U.S. Supreme Court. Where was Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's outrage then? And why should Mitch McConnell, who represents a state with half the population of New York City, yield that much power?
