After his rival Hillary Clinton criticized Donald Trump for a lack of specific policy proposals, Trump revealed an economic plan to develop the southwestern US into one large continuous golf course.

Trumpadero Links and Resort will cover nearly one fourth of the continental US from West Texas to the states of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and parts of California when completed.

The scope of the project is unprecedented and Trump talked about his proposal at a political rally.

"This is going to be the best economic development plan ever for the country, and we're going to create billions of jobs."

Trump's proposal includes 140,000 18 hole golf courses interconnected throughout the the southwestern states including a strip of golf courses out to Florida.

"You can literally play golf from coast to coast," Trump said, "and the beautiful thing is people will be retiring to Trumpadero Links because they can get on a golf cart in the morning, play golf on a new course every day. And I'm building fifty thousand resort hotels as part of Trumpadero Links, so at the end of each day they can drive their golf cart into a different Trump resort."

Trump went on touting the attractions at his planned resort.

"It's going to be really, really great: You can come and play golf till you die and never play all of the courses at Trumpadero Links, and in the executive package we include burial at Milagro Trumpadero Memorial Gardens."

Trump's arch-rival Hillary Clinton ridiculed the idea of a sitting president having his own company benefiting from economic policies instituted by himself.

"This man is once again trying to pull a development con with American taxpayers footing the bill if anything goes south, but he reaps all the profits if it goes well."

Clinton later apologized for using the phrase "going south," saying she meant no slight to Mexico our southern neighbor.

Trump doubled down on claims that there will be billions of jobs created when he spoke at a different rally in California.

"We'll build a big beautiful wall first and then we can screen out the murderers and rapists, let me tell you folks, we will need billions of Mexicans and maybe some Muslims too, but the kind from India, to build and run Trumpadero Links and Resort."

Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan had a talk with Donald Trump and said he agreed to develop only a couple of states like New Mexico and Utah if he should ever be elected president.
