Authorities say a giant tree fell on a Domino pizza store and parking lot in a remote area of Manhattan outside of Rockefeller plaza.
According to police records, thorough investigative work by the NYPD found the tree was a 99.9% positive identification by its 30,000+ lights and 4000 large ornaments as the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
The 90 foot tree hit the car and crashed through the roof of the pizza shop with a thud last Tuesday night, at approximately 10:35 PM, trapping Mrs Miller and fiancé Merl Escabob in a 96 Chevy surburban metro.
Store owner Rabbi Chabu stated he heard a loud noise and crashing sound when he was in the walk in freezer, and was unable to out-strength or determine what was obstructing the door. The NY fire department was called to the scene to assist with the rescue.
What lead to the tumble is under investigation, however it was believed, that manager Ricardo Montibon overseeing tree operations a 345 pound gentleman was called to and attempted to climb the tree to rescue a stray kitten who was stuck about midway up - 45 feet in the air.
Ricardo said his coworkers urged him not to go up there, and he stated that he was "stunned by the fall".
