BALTIMORE, MD - A white cable news reporter was charged with assault after a video showed him kicking a black cable news reporter.
The Spoof Cable Network News reporter, Adam Zapel, was frustrated because the violence in Baltimore had subsided. In an apparently rehearsed confrontation, Mr. Zapel kicked another Spoof Cable Network reporter, La'Taniana ('Bo') Vanaquisha, in the groin .
Zapel was initially charged with assault, but that charge was later dropped. After consulting the Spoof Cable Network News producer, Anita Shower, police determined that Zapel and Vanaquisha were simply doing what was asked of them.
"We believe that the video demonstrates the need for large-scale reform of the Spoof Cable News Network, specifically improvements to their use of forcing people into doing things because those things result in better ratings.
