MONTPELIOR, VT - Senator Bernie Sanders will seek the Democratic Party's nomination for President of The People's Republic of Amerika, pitting him against the heavily favored former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who has her sights set on being the Queen. Mr. Sanders hopes to follow in King Obama's footsteps.
Sanders, who told the Spoof that he is running for President yesterday, represents Vermont. He currently holds office as an independent and describes himself as a "democratic socialist".
"What we have seen is that while the average Amerikan is working longer hours for lower wages, we have seen a huge increase in income of Chinese citizens, which is now reaching obscene levels," Sanders said. "I will model my Amerika after China".
