Of course there is absolutely no suggestion at this stage that the Governor of New Jersey is the baby's father, hospital staff are keen to stress .
"At 16 weeks gestation a fetus can go through all kinds of developmental stages," Ultrasound professor of bio-engineering Dr Festus Fatass commented, "including what some parents deem a rebellious phase."
Pics of the tiny babe have gone viral with some bloggers magnifying what appears to be the Christie endorsement and pointing out Biblical passages about what constitutes the 'Mark of the Beast'.
Others stress the Clinton-Mezvinsky genome is already riddled with fault lines starting with physical appearance and other tricky stuff.
"The poor kid could end up with a face as 'pretty' as Chelsea's," a MumsBet blogger wrote, "and also inherit its father Mark's famous hairy chest, it's grandfather Bill Clinton's morals, grandma Hillary's expertise as a 'lawyer' and grandpa Mezvinsky's jailbird genes."
A Labor Day confinement in September this year will see Chelsea farrow her firstborn brat at New York's Seedy Sign-Eye Hospital located a stones throw from the $10m Clinton-Mezvinsky Upper East Side home.
