image for An Animal Shelter In Fayetteville, Arkansas Receives 6 Giraffes, 3 Elephants, and A Lion
The City Animal Shelter employees have named the lion, Leonardo.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas - City officials are trying to figure out where in the world the 6 giraffes, 3 elephants, and 1 lion that were left at The City Animal Shelter came from.

Bernice Burgerbock, 37, who manages the shelter stated that when she got to work at 6 am, she was surprised to see the animals in a shelter corral behind the main building.

Bernice immediately called up the mayor who rushed over right away. After inspecting all of the animals the mayor ascertained that they most probably came from a circus.

The odd thing is that there hasn't been a circus in the Fayetteville area in over 9 months.

The mayor is asking that anyone who may have seen the animals dropped off to please call him and he will keep his or her name confidential.

SIDENOTE: One of the shelter employees stated that the lion tried to bite one of the giraffes but the giraffe kicked it sending it flying a distance of about 45 yards.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
