DENVER - Colorado state Senator Jimbo Quickdance [D-Denver] presided at the ribbon cutting ceremonies at The Wacky Weed Pot Shop.
Ollie Rushmill, owner of the Wacky Weed, is the first pot shop owner in Colorado to have a drive-thru window at his marijuana shop.
He told the assembled news media that his shop was the second weed shop in Denver and he is now proud to say that his pot shop is the first pot shop in the entire state of Colorado to put in a drive-thru window for the convenience of his customers.
Senator Quickdance praised the entrepreneurial savvy of Mr. Rushmill. He noted that now Denver pot smokers can get in their cars, drive over to The Wacky Weed Pot Shop, and purchase their marijuana without ever leaving their vehicles.
The senator said that it is an innovation that he is certain will spread to other pot shops very quickly.
SIDENOTE: Music for the ribbon cutting ceremony was provided by Denver's own hard rock band, Rocky Formosa & The Rocky Mountain Roach Clips. Free marijuana joints were passed out to the members of the crowd.
