The Annual Baton Rouge Valentine's Day Parade features many Cajun and Creole characters.

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana - The governor or Louisiana, Bobby Jindal has just proclaimed that the week of February 10-16 will be officially declared as The Robertson Family Week.

Governor Jindal stated that on Valentine's Day, the Duck Dynasty clan will be honored with a Valentine's Day Parade in their honor.

Louisiana native Zydeco Dupree, a noted stand up comedian, will serve as the parade marshal and the family members will ride with him in a Cadillac Escalade SUV convertible.

Phil Robertson and his lovely wife Miss Kay will also receive the keys to the city of Baton Rouge as well as a one week, all-expenses paid trip down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The Louisiana governor said that he is proud of the fact that the Robertson family has brought so much publicity to the great state of Louisiana.

He noted that he has received correspondence asking about hotel accommodations from as far away as Seattle, Washington; Montpelier, Vermont; and Geneva, Switzerland.

SIDENOTE: After the parade the stars of Duck Dynasty will be the official guests at a Governor's Dinner and Dance to be held at the Governor's Mansion. Music for the event will be provided by Cajun Cal & The Bayou Swamp Dwellers.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
