WEST MONROE, Louisiana - Word out of the Robertson Complex in West Monroe is that Robertson family patriarch Phil Robertson is seriously contemplating running for the United States senate.
Sinclair Petaluma with Political Salad Bar Magazine is reporting that Robertson's family has urged him to run for office so that he can go to Washington D.C. and let everyone know that Cajun and Creole folks of Louisiana have thoughts, opinions, and ideas just like the people in California, Illinois, and Nova Scotia.
Phil's wife Miss Kay has confessed to him that she has always dreamed about one day being America's first lady and moving into the White House and decorating it up with all kinds of Cajun furniture, Creole artifacts, and stuffed animals like their gator Georgie.
SIDENOTE: Phil, who is 67, says that the beauty of the whole thing is that if he does decide to run for office he won't have to shave off his beard or stop wearing his camouflage clothes.
