The new uniforms are said to be the brainchild of the Bush Administration's recent high profile brain storming session with the Joint Chiefs of Defense Staff who met with the President to revise the war in Iraq after the US media likened the present conflict to that of Viet Nam in the 1960s.
And the result has been this stunning new weapon in the War Against Terra which uses local produce to help US military personnel blend in effectively with locals while carrying out the dangerous task of their duties.
But some cynical analysts have branded the new camouflage fatigues as 'bananas' - thus spoiling the wow-factor that is being promoted as a chin-up exercise for the lads in Baghdad.
