Massachusetts state police say they've stopped a car carrying 1,250 packets of heroin stamped "Obamacare" and "Kurt Cobain" and arrested the four people inside the car.
They sometimes use numbers to show grade of Heroin but we have never seen anything like this according to one of two troopers who stopped the vehicle.
"Now some idiot news person will figure it out and say "worth 100 quadruple dollars on the street". That sure helps keep people from trying to smuggle it in', stated the officer's boss, Captain Hatcher.
Police say a trooper was making a traffic stop near Northampton when a second car passed and he noticed several violations. He stopped the car a short time later in nearby Hatfield and found the driver wasn't licensed to drive it. A state police dog, named 'Frankie' found the bags of heroin, according to a Massachusetts State Police. The four arrested people have been charged with heroin trafficking.
But why Obamacare?
One smuggler caught said it was a joke and it has been published in several news sources:
"If you like your heroin, you CANNOT keep your heroin."
That was a reference to President Obama's now infamous promise: "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it."
Bet it's not so funny now.
