HOUSTON - NASA has decided that it needs to find ways to get back some of the interest in the space program that it has lost over the past few years.
NASA spokesperson Sharleen Shadowshade, 47, stated that the Human Resources Department has come up with an exciting idea.
She said that NASA has decided to paint the space shuttle Pioneer 1, orange and black in honor of Halloween.
Mrs. Shadowshade remarked that they contacted over 4,000 grade school principals throughout the nation and ran the idea by them and everyone, except for 3 stated that they felt it was a fantastic idea.
She stated that the 3 that did not like the idea are atheists who pretty much hate everything so she said that she just filed their opinions in the consider the source circular file.
Mrs. Shadowshade said that NASA is also planning on painting Pioneer 1 in the Christmas colors red and green and will add Christmas ornament stick ons to the side of the space shuttle.
SIDENOTE: Mrs. Shadowshade would not reveal what they have in store for Valentine's Day, but she did say that Pioneer 1 is going to look absolutely beautiful and very romantic.
