NEW YORK, NY - Mayoral hopeful, Anthony Weiner, was caught stuffing his package into mail boxes. When asked, Weiner said that "as long as you don't stick the package in all the way, it's OK."
Anthony Weiner, walking the streets in Queens NY yesterday at 4:00 am, put several packages into letter boxes on the corner of Bugger and Bum Streets.
When told by local police sergeant, Ben Dover, that this might be illegal, his wife, Anita Weiner, said, "I think that as long as you don't stick it all the way in, it's legal." Anthony added "That's what she said..."
Federal Postal regulations state that only stamped US mail delivered by authorized letter carriers can be left in boxes.
There's no reference to how far other packages can permissibly penetrate.
But Anita Weiner said she'd try to find out.
"While Weiner was careful to leave his package mostly outside the boxes, he will cooperate in any investigation she said.
