NEW YORK -- Former congressman Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., said he would not pull out, despite acknowledging that he continued to send women wiener pictures after he prematurely pulled out of Congress in 2011. "I will continue to service the good people of New York", he added.
"I said that other texts and photos were likely to come, and today they have, indeed, come," Weiner said in a quicky press conference with his wife by his side.
"Some of these things happened before I pulled out, some of them happened after I pulled out," Weiner said.
"I hope the good people of New York continue to give me a third, forth and fifth chance.", he added.
According to recent polls, his opponent, Bill Thompson, said that he is now beating Weiner and will continue to beat Weiner until the climax.
"Anthony's wiener has made some horrible mistakes both before he pulled out and after," Weiner's wife Anita Wiener said. "I will continue to stand by my Weiner, especially when he's at his computer" she added.
