WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Obama has just informed the White House press corps that he has received a certified letter from Cuban President Raul Castro asking him to allow Cuba to become America's 51st state.
The letter outlined some of the benefits that having Cuba become part of the United States would be.
President Castro said that for one thing, the USA will have all of the fantastic Cuban cigars it wants. He added that since there are no new cars on the island of Cuba, a dozen auto dealerships can be set up and they will make an absolute killing.
He also pointed out that with Cuba providing buffalo wings to the US the price will be reduced by as much as 47 percent.
And in perhaps his biggest pitch, the Cuban president stated that Major League Baseball will have literally dozens of fantastic Cuban baseball players at their disposal including 17-year-old pitching sensation Humberto Alberto Bibloteca whose fastball has been clocked at 109 miles per hour.
