Garson Weedleston estimates that his laugh has been featured on more than 500 television programs. "People think I'm the happiest guy in the world because I'm a professional laugh track laugher, but in reality, it's a tough, demanding job," said Weedleston.
"Imagine forcing yourself to laugh for eight hours every day. My voice is hoarse, my teeth are loose and my tongue is lumpy, all from laughing," he complained. "A few years back, a producer wanted a really big laugh for a TV show, and I accidentally dislodged my uvula. The janitor found it under a chair a few hours later."
"Most people laugh because they're happy," he said. "I laugh for money. I'm kind of like a prostitute, except I'm yukking while a prostitute is..." he said, not completing his sentence.
