Members of the Blue Man Group of entertainers filed a discrimination lawsuit in federal court today, naming several defendants.
While the exact allegations are sealed, one member of the Blue Man Group who requested anonymity said that management of one Las Vegas hotel "routinely treats blue people disrespectfully, including not disciplining employees for using the derogatory term 'Bluey' and giving us inferior rooms with dirty carpet and no cable TV." He added that a group of white-faced mimes that stayed in the same hotel received much better treatment.
"In this day and age, a person shouldn't be judged or treated differently just because he happens to be blue," said Blue Man Group attorney Garmisch Plecker, who is not blue.
