The Reading striker Jason Robots has said that he would shake John Terry's hand but he has refused to say whether or not he believes the Chelsea captain is a racist.
My guess is that he does, indeed, think Terry is a racist, but that he is just too polite to say this.
Former England skipper Terry was banned for four games and fined £220,000 for racially abusing Anton Ferdinand.
But Robots says football authorities are not doing enough to tackle racism. He said:
"Yes, I would shake John Terry's hand, definitely, but I might squeeze it a bit too tightly, and give him a rather knowing stare."
Asked if he felt Terry was a racist, he replied: "I refuse to say, but I would shake John Terry's hand, definitely."
When it was pointed out to Robots that he had already said that he would shake John Terry's hand in answering an earlier question, and that this latest question centred on whether or not he thought John Terry was a racist, he merely replied:
"I refuse to say, but I would shake John Terry's hand, definitely."
Jason Robots is not to be confused with the former movie star Jason Robards.
