WATERLOO, Iowa - President Obama has wasted no time in keeping his promise to cut out certain federal programs that will have the least amount of affect on the least amount of citizens.
The president, speaking before a crowd of 17,000 at The Crop Rotation Convention Center in Waterloo, told the people that he and Vice-President Joe Biden sat down in the White House Oval Office the day after they had won their landslide election.
He stated that they both decided that one local federal program that they could immediately eliminate without causing any problem for anyone is the FSP (Food Stamp Program) in Beverly Hills, California.
President Obama remarked that when they shut down the FSP in Beverly Hills it will eliminate six high-paying jobs that will translate into a yearly savings to the Food Stamp Program of $249,000.
He then pointed out that the United States government will break the lease on the FSP building which will save the federal government $600,000 per year.
SIDENOTE: The president wanted to make it clear that the six FSP employees will all be transferred to The United States Treasury Department where they will all be trained to be federal money counters.
