Washington DC, USA. In emerging news here (if you believe the street urchins), President Barack Obama and challenger, Mit Romney, have agreed to partition the entire continental United States of America into red and blue states. The net effect being that whoever loses wins and whoever wins, well you know. Apparently each candidate will establish his own regime over the states that support him, thus ending 147 years of union of all 50 states.
The Red states will probably makeup most of the northeast corner of mainland USA while Blue will include the rest of the country. The title of "President" will be abolished to make way for a more contemporary name such as "Head Honcho" or "Chief". The Blue states will probably call themselves "United States That Want A Better Way" while Red will most likely adopt "United States for People Who Like Apple Pie".
Some people are already leaving the country in anticipation of this ground breaking news. Many are heading for Scotland which seems likely to leave the United Kingdom in 2014.
