BEVERLY HILLS - The National Chapter of Girl Scouts has just announced that the state of California has just issued a new merit badge that is unique to the Left Coast state.
Arletta L. Miffinbuckley, 61, spokesperson for the California Chapter of Girl Scouts stated that the new merit badge is known as The Shopping Mall Spending Merit Badge.
She said that the merit badge was developed at the insistence of some of the mothers of California Girl Scouts who realized that the new badge would be indigenous to the Golden State.
The National Chapter of Girl Scouts issued a statement saying that California will be the only state in which the new merit badge will be available.
They pointed out that it would be silly to issue Shopping Mall Spending Merit Badges in states such as Iowa, Mississippi, Vermont, or Montana, since those states virtually have no shopping malls to speak of.
SIDENOTE: Word filtering out of Idaho is that the state has hired famed California attorney Ginger Allred to file a discriminatory lawsuit against the National Chapter of Girl Scouts, The California Chapter of Girl Scouts, and the manufacturers of Girl Scout Cookies.
