NEW YORK - Rumors of a "United States 2.0″ have recently spread throughout the Internet with the rising threat of Rick Santorum as a noteworthy contender in the 2012 Republican presidential race. Today, Fox News confirmed these rumors in an interview with rival Mitt Romney.
"We've been in talks with the Democrats about forming a 'US 2.0′ since no one can deal with Santorum," stated Romney. "As the chief financer of this endeavor, I've nominated myself king."
Romney has yet to confirm the new nation's alleged slogan, 'Porsche For All'; however, several Americans have tweeted their excitement about this.
Based on new polls, Santorum's popularity continues to grow as US citizens express their desires for the creation of a new nation without religious fanatics. "A new nation without religious fanatics?" questions US citizen Benji Marago. "Yes, please."
