Mitt Romney started his final car tour of South Carolina today with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie riding on the top of the car in a large cage! Asked to explain this bizarre decision, Romney stated, "Well, he was just too big to put in the back seat with the kids and besides he likes it!"
According to news reports, when Romney's children complained to their Dad that there was something on the back windshield, Romney told them to "not be so nit-picky" and stopped at the next service area to wash down the car. According to an employee at a local McDonalds, Romney stopped shortly thereafter and purchased a cheese biscuit and hash browns for he children and twelve Big Macs, four orders of fries, and seven milk shakes for Christie.
Journalists following the caravan report that the car stopped at another rest area after the McDonalds visit and Romney washed off the back windshield again.
In related news, Newt Gingrich on hearing of the caravan stated, "Now the entire country can see for themselves that Romney and Christie are full of it!"
