NEW YORK CITY - Considering the Occupy protests that have slowed business as usual in many financial centers, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called up his pal, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and asked him if he wanted to found a country together.
Both have been motivated in recent days to leave their sovereignty because commoners and politicians alike have lost appreciation for how much money they make and are worth. A spokesperson for Bloomberg commented on the unofficial announcement and said, "We're still on the Forbes list for crying aloud!"
Berlusconi, however, was beyond flattered. Despite all the allegations of his scandals Bloomberg was still willing to do business with him. "Now that's a true friend," says Silvio. He immediately purchased a brand new train for Bloomberg to take to work in the mornings.
In return, Bloomberg, gave him the know-how in learning how to change the law in your favor so he'll never have to worry about breaking it.
Ironically, this isn't Bloomberg's first attempt to join forces with the Italian Prime Minister. Back in the spring, the mayor called the prime minister at 3am and asked if he wanted to trade political offices for one week.
Let's just hope neither one of them founds anything together.
