In a move predicted by some, the Police have moved in on squatters outside Westminster Abbey.
'This has nothing to do with the wedding' said Police Chief Bland (known to his mates as Blind) 'these people are taking over prime locations in London and are not paying rent. They are a threat to the Peace of the Realm.'
Police sources explained that they were all in favour of freedom of speech but making republican statements as this time was not being tolerated.
The Police have also announced that this is not a pre-emptive strike. 'There is no UN mandate for that, as France has guillotined the British proposal' said a Government Minister close to events 'we do have a right, however, as a sovereign nation to say we are not doing something when everyone knows that we are.'
