Blue Peter dog Lucy has finally been laid to rest after lying in state in BBC centre reception since her sudden death on April 4th.
The 13 year old golden retriever was one of the most famous pets ever and she has been buried in the BBC garden alongside hundreds of home made flowers and candles from devotees of the popular children's TV programme.
In keeping with the original spirit of the show, Lucy's casket was made out of sticky-backed plastic, velcro and recycled toilet roll holders, while the illustration of Lucy on the top of the coffin was sent in by 5 year old Allison Gray from Barking.
