Fine Fail leader Saint Michael Martin has attacked the Fine Gael/Labour government's plans to sell off the family silver.

This comes as quite a surprise considering that Fine Fail have already sold off the Family Gold, Family Platinum - and even a fair dollop of the rusty Family Tin - while they were in power.
A Fine Gael spokesman - for Fine Gael would never trust a mere woman to speak on their behalf - said that this was all 'lies, damned lies', before further adding that it was 'very true' that they would at least offload the Silver Tea Set kept at Aras An Uchataran.

Squire Simon Coveney, the Fine Gael Minister for Entitlement and Yachts, is currently making plans to move into the Aras - which is traditionally the residence of the Irish President.

Squire Coveney says that as he is 'one of our betters' he should be entitled to live there and sell off any 'lesser tea sets' as he sees fit.

Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams described all this as 'typical Blueshirt madness'.
Unfortunately for him, he too was later discovered to have stolen several spoons and a candlestick and tried off-loading them at a market stall in Dundalk.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
