There comes a time in the career of a Prime Minister when a decision, that might or might not make his career, has to be taken.
The man in charge needs to make some very difficult choices. Call me Dave is wrestling with a choice now. Whether or not to take a holiday in Barbados is not that choice!
This could be his Thatcher Falkland moment or his Blair, Iraq/Sierra Leone/Afghanistan moment, so we can call it his Libya moment.
Let's not forget that his government have cut the nation's defence "assets" to the bone, and that the UK is already overstretched as it continues to pretend to be a world power, while the big EU countries laugh at us and hide their mocking smiles behind their hands.
So, Dave, to commit or not to commit?
We should allow the Libyan people to answer this question. Listen, Dave, they don't want any outside interference. Will he get the message?
His head says no, his heart says, well maybe. Don't be a chump, Dave, the election is not due for 4 years.
Meanwhile, the German economy powers ahead.
