A major scandal has emerged because of the disappearance at our local Police Station. A Snowman 'acting in a suspicious manner ' was arrested by vigilant police and taken to the nearest police station.
When questioned the Snowman refused to reply and was left in his cell to consider his position.
However an hour later when police looked into the cell the Snowman had disappeared! A learner Constable was left with the Snowman's 'parting gift' to clear up.
Chief Constable Fred Turbot explained to a hastily convened Press Conference that this was the first time anyone had disappeared from his police cells. But an officer on duty at the time had been suspended on full pay prior to a major inquiry to be led by Lord Shufflebottom, currently sitting in the Lords.
Not since the days of escape artists has such a phenomenon occurred. Chief Constable Turbot, however, was at pains to assure everyone that when the culprit is re-arrested he will 'definitely feel the heat.'
Photofit pictures of the arrested snowman have been circulated and anyone seeing this Snowman is asked not to approach the suspect but to dial 999 immediately.
