King Kong may have met his match. There is a rival King of the Universe - Jesus. To prove this Polish architects have built a statue of Jesus 33 meters (108 feet) high. This represents the 108 years that past before Jesus got a hearing from leaders of the world.
Tourists are already flocking to Poland to photo the statue, with Japanese photographers spending hours take snapshots to take back home.
Catholics are doubtful about the wisdom of making such a large statement. 'Big is not always better' said a diminutive monk shaking his head 'small is beautiful. This statue sends out the wrong message.'
But Polish architect Pzxhjaki Wiqarighlx claims his design carries a message of how strong the Church is. 'We need our Giants' he told me 'this is a big story. Jesus is the King, whatever Muhammed Ali says.'
British hearts always won over by the imposing Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square are resolutely refusing to see the Polish statue as a rival. Boris Johnson, London's Mayor told a crowd of children: 'You will be big one day but not as big as Jesus or Nelson. You should leave history to the Giants.'
