The Siberian Swans who have arrived at Gloucester, prompting fears that we are in for a long, dark winter are already fed up with English weather.
As we reported yesterday we spoke to one of the swans - Yuri - who told us he and his mates just wanted an early break.
But the swans appear to have been caught out by our sudden cold snap.
This morning one of Yuri's friends, Olga, asked us: "What is wrong with weather?
"We come all this way - now is colder than where we come from.
"Look, we hear there is barn dance on Saturday, so we come early. Some of us have dates with English ducks and geese. But weather is so cold.
"Might as well go home."
