There were sighs of relief throughout eastern and central Europe this week as Wayne and Coleen returned home from Prague without sparking a 30-year conflict.
As we reported last week, there were concerns that Coleen might exact a terrible revenge on Wayne for his alleged recent dalliances with prostitutes.
Our resident historian, Ken Lucid of the University of Thames Valley East, said: "I have to admit, I was really quite concerned about what Coleen might to.
"If she felt seriously tempted to throw Wayne out of a building - a latterday Defenestration of Prague, if you will - she could have plunged central Europe into a terrible conflict that might have lasted 30 years.
"I think we owe her a debt of gratitude for showing such restraint."
