Mary Bale, the evil woman who dumped a cat into a wheelie bin earlier this week, is now to face prosecution from the city council for disposing of the pesky moggy into the wrong-coloured bin.
The cat, Lola, was thrown into a green bin, which, according to crystal-clear information provided on the Council's website, is for "remaining rubbish that can neither be recycled nor composted".
Clearly, say Council executives, Lola could, indeed, have been recycled or, more likely, composted, and should have been put in a blue bin. Bale had, therefore, acted illegally.
The bank worker from Stoke, Coventry - which, if you don't mind me saying so, is slightly confusing - has apologised for the error, and says she will try to adhere to Council rules in the future.
If found guilty, she could face a fine of up to £2,000, such are the ridiculous regulations in the UK these days.
