Churchill would be proud of me

A Pathologist, famed for always getting things wrong, has been refused entry into Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen.

In a rarely used procedure, the Pathologist, who cannot be named, found an email message from the Queen stating: 'You have brought the country into disrepute and therefore cannot shake my hand.'

Supporters of the Pathologist, who include Police Officers and members of the Judiciary, feel let down. 'He's a good man' said a Policeman whose identity could not be known as he had removed his number 'a man of integrity and a credit to his profession.'

Others have accused the Pathologist of being useless and of value only to those with something to hide. 'If he can get it wrong, he will' admitted one of his colleagues.

In an exclusive interview with your correspondent the man at the centre of the whirlpool of gossip and innuendo declared: 'Winston Churchill would be proud of me. We are fighting the same war against ignorance and prejudice. We shall never allow this country to be invaded by aliens from outer space.'

Supporters of this tragic man pleaded: 'Don't knock a man when he's down. He will be suffering for ever from the Queen's rebuke. Let that be punishment enough.'

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
