In an unexpected move, the 2nd half of the England v Germany game has been declared void.
In a statement, football president Fred Blather declared: 'The evidence that the goal attempt by Lampard, not recognised by the Referee or his Assistant, was clearly a goal, means the 2nd half of the match was played with an incorrect score from the beginning. Fifa has ruled that the 2nd half of the match, starting 2-2, should be played again before the World Cup semi-finals.'
A horrified German reaction, typically oblivious of the facts, simply shouted 'Nein, Nein, Nein. We could have scored nine.'
But Blather was not intimidated by this foolish reaction. 'Wipe the 2nd half from your minds. England and their fans have done this. The Germans must behave like men and accept the 2-2 half time score and play the 2nd half when it can be organised.'
Sportingly, England offered just extra time could be played, starting 2-2. But everyone was amazed to learn that the Germans were unhappy with this idea. However, a firm stance is being taken and the German Army has been told that if they do not accept their decision the German High Command will forfeit the match.
