Gordon Brown has just resigned. We're not sure if he's the PM, the acting PM, the ex-PM or what he is any more, but I can confirm, he has resigned.
In an emotional speech delivered outside McDonald's in Victoria, Brown clearly blamed parliamentary opponents Nick Clegg and David Cameron for the shock move.
"They're just a pair of bullies," he complained. "They've had it in for me right from the start. Cameron tried to steal my dinner money and when I punched him in the face he complained to the Speaker. The bastard. He was always mocking me because his family were richer than mine. Him with his plummy voice and his fucking "Change" spiel. The bastard."
Brown went on to accuse Clegg of being smarmy, and always trying to get in with the bigger boys. Some reports suggest that since Clegg's dad bought him a new mountain bike, everybody wants to be his friend.
Looks like Do Nothing Dave came out on top in that little power struggle.
More as we get it.
