The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Association reported today that 'mistakes' rose from 182 to 334 in the last 12 months. HFEA reported cases of embryos 'gone missing'.
In this exclusive, our undercover reporter has the answer - many fertilised embryos are simply 'running away' once they realise who has chosen them as a parent.
Rather than be brought up in single mother or lesbian households, the embryos are choosing to take their chances on the street to try and avoid becoming stereotypical crime figures in the future.
A representative from a father's rights organisation stated, "There is absolutely no truth in the suggestion that we have bribed these embryos to run away before being implanted so that the fathers can avoid paying child support payments for children that they will never be allowed to see."
This story will run and run...
