Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson will help lift the gloom this winter as she stars in her first ever UK panto.
The move has come about after the blonde bombshell's star has dimmed somewhat in her native America.
The 43 year old actress said: "This is an awesome move for me. I've always wanted to act in British theatre and, having seen how successful Kevin Spacey has been taking part in panto, I can't wait to tread the boards."
Some snooty theatre-goers however have pointed out that pantomime isn't exactly treading the boards.
But one veteran of the genre who was delighted to have Pammy on board was Christopher Biggins.
The former Queen of the Jungle who won 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' said: "She's simply wonderful and surprisingly, she doesn't take herself that seriously. She'll be great and I for one can't wait to see her."
Along with former CHiPs actor Erik Estrada and Bionic Man Lee Majors, Anderson will star in 'PuddyCat in Boots' at the Donmar Warehouse later this year.
