Following the recent expenses scandal, one-eyed Scot Gordon Brown has been forced to reach his tight-fisted hand into his stingy pocket to repay the expenses he has claimed as an MP.
With a constituency home in Fife, he is entitled to claim for travel costs and maintenance for his Scottish home, even though he has a free home in London at 10 Downing Street.
The prudent Jock claimed a total of over £12,000 in expenses, including: one penny for a Ryanair flight back to Scotland; two pounds eighty for four cans of Tennent's Special for entertainment during the G20 summit earlier this year; one pound fifty for an "Oor Wullie" comic strip; and forty pence for a can of Irn Bru as a gift for his wife on their anniversary.
