Brighton, UK Prime minister Gordon Brown's keynote speech at the Labour Party conference was interrupted today when pop star Kanye West stormed the stage.
Brown was listing the achievements of the Labour Party since 1997, including disability legislation, devolution and civil partnerships, when the diminutive rapper grabbed the microphone saying that he would allow Gordon Brown to finish, but that a pop video made recently by fellow singer Beyonce Knowles was one of the greatest achievements of all time. The British PM looked confused and ashen-faced, and left the conference without completing his speech.
Beyonce, currently touring the UK, later invited Gordon Brown onto the stage at Wembley Arena to complete his speech.
