Colonel Gaddafi is to meet controversial British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. The Libyan leader is expected to discuss the possible release of millions of Britons, who are suffering in the economic prison constructed by Brown and his henchman Alistair Darling.
The meeting is sure to prove controversial. It is rare for a major world leader to meet with an international pariah like Brown. However, Gaddafi believes that he can do some good. "If I can just make him listen to reason maybe he will resign, or at the very least have an election. I'm not worried about how this may look. Yes there will be many people disgusted by this meeting. I urge them to look to the future and not at what Brown has done in the past."
Relatives of those still being detained in Britain have called for Gaddafi to abandon the meeting. They have urged the UN to impose economic sanctions on Britain. However, it is believed that current British economic conditions are far worse than any sanctions that the UN could impose.
The world waits to see how this meeting will go.
