A government think tank report has highlighted the negative effect of policy U-turns seen in opinion poll results.
The Chief, Lord Mangelson, has decided that it would be far better if every policy announcement was issued simultaneously with an announcement overturning it.
"I will go further" said the Most High Exalted One, "I think that I can devise a schedule or timetable by which policy reversions can precisely be fixed in time".
"For example, If I had announced the cancellation of compulsory ID cards at the same time as I announced the idea, the headlines would have balanced out, the voter would have no difficult choice to make and the poll result would have been neutral".
Lord Mangelson went on to announce the cancellation of the scheme to announce policy reversals at the same time as the policy was announced.
