A Penny Change From A Fiver! Robbing Spoof Bastards!

Location: Not Rome, worse luck. - Spoof writer Skoob1999 was shocked and outraged this afternoon as he submitted his 499th Spoof News Story for publication, only to be told by the men upstairs at theSpoof.com that it would cost him £4.99 to have the story published.

"They've never done this to me before," Skoob, who has reportedly started drinking again ahead of the CL Final in Rome, wailed melodramatically. "I've never heard of Mark Lowton and associates charging a contributor for publication in the past. Never. It hasn't happened. Why me?"

We were told by the publishers of theSpoof.com that the case of Skoob1999 was an exceptional circumstance, because his stories are so crap and ill thought out that they take ages to edit and that quite frankly theSpoof.com would be a better place without his incoherent so-called contributions.

"Okay," Mark Lowton told us grimly. "We charged the money because we're trying to disassociate ourselves from this idiot. His stuff is crap. End of. Goodbye Skoob. Good riddance."

Reports are coming in however that Skoob1999 has mailed a check off to theSpoof.com to cover the £4.99 publication fee and announced that story number 500 would hopefully be a lengthy tribute to Manchester United FC should they emerge victorious against Barcelona in Rome.

More depends on the result and the quantity of alcohol consumed by the reprobate.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
