Phil Spector, arms dealing music pariah, was found guilty of murder today after a lengthy court-case.
During the trial, Spector's lawyers argued that his original confession was actually a witness statement. When Phil said to the police 'The spectre did it, the spectre did it' he meant an actual spectre, as in other-worldly being, and wasn't refering to himself in the third person.
His former gun-toting escapades, including shooting and killing musician John Lennon, former president John F. Kennedy and rapper Tupac Shakur, were laughed off at the time with many remarking 'if Phil hadn't done it, someone else would have.'
Phil now faces life imprisonment or death by firing squad; he has until Friday to decide.
We truly hope this awful tragedy doesn't haunt Spector for too long. We assume it won't.
