United Kingdom Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been handed a 180 kilogram seal in what must have been a crazy mix up by a junior staffer. A bemused Mr Brown woke to find the exotic animal sitting on the doorstep of his 10 Downing Street residence.
The animal came with a simple note saying "here is your seal in approval of what you have done for Britain". Unfortunately, the staffer who remitted the note has been upbraided for carrying out the wrong instruction.
His senior colleague had asked him to seek the PM's "seal of approval" for a upcoming social event. When asked his reaction to this unusual delivery Mr Brown said it was the first time he had been "punked" as a minister of the Crown.
Mr Brown hopes to donate the seal to a dog food factory somewhere in Suffolk.
