Hot on the heels of the festive season of good cheer, the season of back to work sheer misery.
Millions of tired, hungover Brits suffered a shocking reality check today as they went back to work after the holiday season.
For a start, it was literally freezing cold this morning, and as if that wasn't enough, the roads were choked up with traffic, rail fares have gone up and the bosses are the same jerks they were in the weeks before Christmas.
"I don't know if I can handle this," a commuter at Basingstoke station told us. "I've got the shakes, my internal organs are vibrating, I need scaffolding to prop up my eyelids and to be perfectly honest the only thing I want at the moment is a pint of lager and a doner kebab. But I suppose you have to get on with it.'
