Apple Pie orders surge!

Granny Sphincter's the hugely successful traditional apple pie maker, again scooped the top award at the NEC FOODEX '09 exhibition.

Started only in 2006 by Gwyneth Snood former nursing home owner of Machynlleth, West Wales, the range has been a runaway nationwide success.

"The secret is in the processing" confided CEO Snood (72) "we process our ingredients in a unique way to retain maximum goodness with a smooth consistent texture"

The factory, staffed wholly by retired hill farmers and guarded by redundant sheepdogs is renowned for its secret process, and high levels of security.

Head of production, Bronwen Brown, (74) confimed that plans were well advanced to increase the flow of products coming out of the facility.

"Rest assured, our staff will be straining every muscle to satisfy the increase in demand for our premium pies" added the smiling Brown. Runner up, Mr Kipling was unavailable for comment, but his turnover has fallen dramatically in recent years.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
